Product Description UNIDEN MHS75 HH VHF WITH LI-ION BATTERY

| Customer Reviews: Exactly what I needed August 25, 2010 Physician I bought this unit before a 1 week long kayak expedition off the north of Vancouver Island. I charged the unit up before I left Port Hardy and used it to check weather reports and talk to the local light house keeper.
The reception was great and the battery was still almost unused by the end of the week. I left it on a home and the battery was still good 2 weeks later.
A car charger would be a nice addition but I already have a DC-AC converter in my cigarette lighter so I didn't miss that option. For the money, this is a good unit although I didn't try submerging it in salt water.
Great radios June 13, 2010 N. Cianca (NYC) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I've owned several Uniden radios over the years. They are always well built, reliable and work. This radio is no exception. It is clear on broadcast and receive at all 3 wattage settings. Even in congested radio traffic areas, the battery will 8 hours daily over 2-3 days on a charge (mostly receive). In noisy, windy, etc environments you want to keep it around your chest. My minor nitpicks is that when the radio is turned of it doesn't retain the last settings for scan mode, etc, but it just takes a few seconds to set it up. Get an AC - 12v adapter ($5-$10) so that you can charge it off a wall.

Good radio wish there was an ac charge so you could charge in the house.
