Great Little Anchor for Lakes July 23, 2010 Jody Koval We bought our 6 year old twins a turtle trampoline for the small lake we live on but having it tethered and bouncing into to our dock was a bit restricting. Saw this on Amazon and as there's no current here, tried it. It does feel a just a little cheap coming out of its bag but with fairly careful good sense handling I fastened it to the trampoline and went out with our paddle boat about 30' and cast the anchor (about a month ago). It has about 20' of nice quality nylon rope to attach. For the price I feel that it's definitely a bargain. It's weathered a couple of good storms and the trampling it still where I anchored it. I wouldn't take it anywhere with a significant current, but if you plan on using it on fairly quiet waters then I would highly recommend. It also has a solid coat of paint to protect the questionable quality steel anchor and that it's one of my daughter's favorite color pink, doesn't hurt! Jody Koval
Works for minimalist March 23, 2010 Andrew Clark (Harrisburg, PA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this item for my 14 ft Jon boat and it works on the lakes and such but wouldn't take it out on the river with the current. It is a cheap anchor for a cheap price and would be more fitted for a pwc like a wave runner under the seat. Works for what I need but once it breaks (and it will) I will be buying something else. The item has a lock ring that allows it to expand and it feels cheaper but for the money its good.
Great for use on kayak March 11, 2010 David C. Simpson Great anchor - I use with a kayak for fishing and it's great having a float so you can unclip, drift around, and then come back and clip on.
Just what was needed February 12, 2010 D. Mosher (Joplin, Mo USA) The Kwik tek complete grapnel anchor system is perfect for our jet ski. It is so compatible with the small space on the ski for storage and since it has its own case it is very easily stored.
Works well January 16, 2010 Robert Jordin Great for small crafts. I use it for a 500lb Seadoo. The padded bag is great since it gets bounced around in the storage compartment. Keeps it from breaking other stuff. Works super in calm water. I once used it to hold 2 seadoos in rough semi rough water. It wouldn't hold them but sure did slow the drag. Every 1/2 hour they would go about 10 feet. Not bad considering the pace of the current would have taken them in ten minutes otherwise. Great if you are looking for an anchor with limited storage space.
